If your student has left something on the bus please have them check with the driver the next time they board the bus. Radio communications with drivers are limited to student transportation matters, i.e. transfers, lost students, or emergency communications.

Please note: a missing laptop doesn't fall under emergency communications and we are prohibited from giving out a driver's personal phone number.

Transportation for the 2023-2024 School Year

  • If you register or have a change of address processed at least two weeks before the first day of school, your child will have transportation on the first day of school.
  • If you register or process a change of address within two weeks prior to the first day of school, your child will have transportation beginning 5 days after the first day of school.
  • If you register or process a change of address after the first day of school, we require a minimum of 5 working days to begin providing transportation.

Listed below are several of the most asked questions about operational procedures. All deadlines are firm and based on providing optimum service:

Student Pick Up/Delivery Plan- Each student will have one designated pick up point and one designate delivery point. The pick-up and drop-off can be a different stop. It must be within the schools sending zone and there must be room on the bus.  If your child is attending a school outside their sending zone, because your home school is capped, we will do our best to accommodate your request.  The request must be in writing and must be the same stop 5 days per week. There are no courtesy busing from one school to another. Students may not ride another student's bus at any time.

Address Changes Pick Up/Delivery- If you are moving to a new home within the district you must contact the Central Registrar 856-778-6610 ext. 12019. The transportation office cannot change your address.

Daycare/Sitter- The district will only transport your student to daycare within the school zone of attendance. It must be 5 days per week and can be AM, PM or Midday or both.

How Bus Stops are Selected- Bus stops are selected to maximize the efficiency of each route. In all cases, particularly in housing developments, group stops are utilized. Students living on rural roads will be set up at home due to geography and distance between homes. Since we centralize bus stops, there will always be the scenario of a bus passing students homes in order to get to the bus stop. Large buses do not enter cul de sacs. There are no bus stops in a cul de sac.  Mini buses do not enter dead end streets. You must bring your child out to the cross street.

Bus Stop Time- All students are required to wait at the designated bus stop 10 minutes prior to and up to 10 minutes after the scheduled bus arrival. Our bus routes are timed and must remain on schedule. At multiple student pick up points, drivers pick up only those students who are there. The bus will not return to a bus stop. For pick up points that serve only one student or family, the driver will stop, look for the student(s) and proceed to the next stop.  You must be standing at your assigned bus stop.  If you are assigned a home stop, you must be outside on the curb waiting.  This applies to all students.  Please keep in mind that we are on a tight schedule in order to get all students to school on time.

Bus Capacity- Large buses transport 54 students. Mini buses vary from 19 to 24 students.
